Junior doctors end hospital strike
Junior doctors have ended their three-month strike and have resumed their duties at all public hospitals in Zimbabwe. A report on the allAfrica site notes that this has been confirmed by the Zimbabwe Hospital Doctors Association. However, an association spokesperson, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said ‘not much progress is being done as junior doctors are monitored by senior doctors … they complement each other’. As previously reported in Legalbrief Today, doctors have been demanding salaries pegged on the US dollar as well as improved working conditions.
