Former Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commissioner Roselyne Akombe now says she is ready to testify on what transpired during the disputed 2017 polls. CapitalFM reports that Akombe, who is currently working with the UN, said she had called for the formation of an independent inquiry to look into the polls after the first vote count was nullified by the Supreme Court over irregularities before a repeat was ordered. The commission became ineffective after three other commissioners resigned citing following a fall-out with chairman Wafula Chebukati and his leadership.
