The Ethiopian Government says it has arrested a key founding member of the Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF). The Defence Ministry said Sebhat Nega, who is now in his 80s, was found hiding in a remote area of Tigray. BBC News reports that it said several other senior TPLF members have been killed or arrested. Legalbrief reports that Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed’s Government in November declared victory over the TPLF which previously governed the province. The UN says 1.3m people in the region require aid as a result of the conflict.
