Ugandan MP Bobi Wine has given a press conference hours after police stopped him from holding an independence day concert. BBC News reports that Wine, whose real name is Robert Kyagulanyi, has said he will run for President in 2021 and challenge Yoweri Museveni, who has been in power since 1986. The lawmaker portrays himself as a champion of the poor, and sings about social justice and democracy. Wearing his trademark red beret of his People Power Movement, Bobi Wine has labelled Museveni a dictator. ‘Dictators are not massaged out of power. President Museveni is scared of the ideas that we represent,’ he said.
