Comair to sue Boeing over MAX problems

Comair plans to sue Boeing for damages it expects to suffer due to problems with the Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, according to Rapport. The airline, which operates British Airways in SA and Kulula.com, ordered eight of the controversial 737 MAX aircraft, of which one has been delivered and subsequently grounded. Comair says it is already in discussions with Boeing and will claim all related expenses and damages. Although Comair declined to elaborate on the extent of damages, Rapport says it includes the parking fees of the grounded plane, costs to lease a replacement aircraft and the big-ticket item – the savings Comair expected to make with the introduction of the eight MAX aircraft over the next few years.
