President Donald Trump on Monday made a sensational allegation about Google. 'Wow, Report Just Out! Google manipulated from 2.6m to 16m votes for Hillary Clinton in 2016 Election! This was put out by a Clinton supporter, not a Trump Supporter! Google should be sued. My victory was even bigger than thought! @JudicialWatch,' Trump wrote. He was referring to a study by psychologist Robert Epstein. But Trump did not describe the research correctly. And the research itself has been called into question. Facts First: Epstein himself says Trump was wrong about his findings. Epstein did find 'bias' in Google search results, but he says there is no evidence Google 'manipulated' the results to favour Clinton. Also, critics of the study note that there is no definitive link between search results and voting behaviour in presidential elections.
