New lawyer delays Montecasino murder case

The case of two people accused of involvement in the murder of Dustan Blom, whose body was found in the boot of his car at Montecasino in Fourways, has been postponed by the Randburg Magistrate's Court to 6 November, says a report on The New Age site.
Newly-appointed lawyer Mark van Schalkwyk - representing former stripper Maruschka Robinson - needs the time to acquaint himself with the case. Robinson and Jean-Pierre Malan, believed to be her boyfriend, were arrested last month after security guards found Blom's decomposing body in the casino's parking garage. Robinson had allegedly rented a room from Blom, the widowed father of infant twins. The prosecutor said the case was expected to be transferred to the High Court. Full report on The New Age site
