We invite applications for an academic post specializing in environmental law in the Department of Public law in the Faculty of Law. The post is advertised at the level of lecturer/senior lecturer with appointment from 1 January 2018.

The successful candidate will be located in the Institute of Marine and Environmental Law (IMEL) where he/she will be expected to take part in the teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate courses on South African environmental law. He/she will also be expected to undertake research and supervise postgraduate students in the field of environmental law. Suitable candidates must demonstrate potential to be an academic leader in the field of environment law – as a lecturer, researcher and socially responsive advocate.
