Footwear sector workers on strike

* Southern African Clothing & Textile Workers’ Union members in the footwear sector have gone on strike. Workers are demanding a 9.5% wage increase against the employer’s offer of 6.25%. Wage increases in the footwear sector were due on 1 July 2018.
