Waiters who served Cabinet secretary Joseph Nkaissery at Nairobi's Bomas of Kenya bar two Saturday nights ago are being questioned following his sudden death. The Daily Nation reports that Ndegwa Muhoro, the director of criminal investigations, also revealed that Nkaissery’s bodyguards are also being probed. ‘We are looking into it but the post-mortem will determine the direction of the investigations,’ Muhoro said, according to the report. ‘The law requires that any sudden death must be investigated.’ Independent sources said Nkaissery's family had also appointed a pathologist for the autopsy. In an interesting twist, opposition leader, Raila Odinga was treated in a Nairobi hospital with suspected food poisoning on Sunday last week.
