A 14-year-old Kenyan girl has been charged with multiple counts of murder for allegedly starting a fire at a Nairobi school dormitory that left nine other pupils dead. A report on the News24 site notes that proceedings are being held in camera at a Nairobi court due to the age of the accused. She has denied starting the 2 September fire at the Moi Girls High School. A source close to the investigation, speaking on condition of anonymity, said a WhatsApp message on the suspect's phone linked her to the tragedy. ‘I will burn the school,’ one of the messages allegedly states. The girl appeared to be angry that her parents had sent her to the institution.
