Suspect linked to Dubai heist

Police have arrested a man in Nairobi in connection with the theft of $1.4m in Dubai eight months ago. George Maina (28) is the second suspect to be arrested after Kenyan police, working with Interpol, arrested Rebecca Musau in Ruai in July. They recovered $128 000 at her new house. The Nation reports that three Kenyan suspects are believed to have escaped after the brazen robbery and UAE security officials immediately launched an investigation in collaboration with Kenyan and Interpol officers. The suspects targeted a cash-in-transit vehicle in a shopping mall. The third suspect has been identified as Charles Karanja who worked as a security guard.
