A Gambian soldier and former member of ex-President Yahya Jammeh's guard has been arrested for bringing a loaded gun into a mosque where President Adama Barrow was praying. A report on the News24 site notes that the incident happened during Friday prayers at the King Fahd mosque in Banjul. The arrested man, Sergeant Baboucarr Njie, admitted he was a former member of the presidential guard of ex-leader Jammeh. He has since been handed over to the Gambian authorities, who will probe the incident, according to the report.
