Prophet in the dock over Aids cure claim

Controversial prophet Walter Magaya appeared in a Harare court on Friday after he claimed that he had discovered a cure for HIV and AIDS. The Herald reports that the Prophetic Healing and Deliverance Ministry founder faced charges of contravening section 40 (1) of the Medicines and Allied Substance Act, which criminalised the distribution and misleading advertisement of medicine. The Herald reports that he was granted $300 bail and ordered to surrender title deeds to his Waterfalls Hotel. He is expected back in court on 29 November.
