Probe into fatal stadium stampede

A committee of inquiry is to be established to determine what caused the stampede at the FNB Stadium in Soweto two weekends ago, which led to the deaths of two soccer fans during a match between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates, Sports Minister Thulas Nxesi said last week. A report in The Citizen notes Nxesi said President Jacob Zuma had given the go-ahead for a ministerial committee of inquiry into the tragedy.
