Premier Soccer League to appeal Ndoro ruling

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) will appeal a Gauteng High Court judgment on the Tendai Ndoro saga and says it is confident that the 2018/19 season will start on time next month, notes a report on the IoL site. This was confirmed by the PSL’s chairperson, Irvin Khoza, after an emergency executive committee meeting at the league’s offices last week. The court set aside Advocate William Mokhari’s ruling that had found Ajax Cape Town guilty on five charges of misconduct arising from the fielding of Ndoro who was deemed ineligible to play. Ajax had been demoted from the premiership after having points docked for playing an ineligible player, but the ruling effectively reinstates the club, notes Legalbrief.
