Muslim cleric faces terrorism charges

A Muslim cleric who was arrested in Marsabit Town over the weekend is expected in court this week to face terror-related charges. CapitalFM reports that Sheikh Guyo Gorsa was flown to Nairobi where he is expected to be charged. His arrest sparked protests that led to deaths of three people. The cleric was previously arrested in 2014 on suspicion of radicalising the youth and being linked to a network that represents al-Shabaab. However, he was later released.
