Merkel leans on Tunisia’s asylum seekers

German Chancellor Angela Merkel has told her Tunisian counterpart, Youssef Chahed, that she wants to speed up the repatriation of failed asylum seekers. Speaking after talks in Berlin, Merkel warned that if refugees refused to return to Tunisia of their own accord, then they would be forced to go. BBC News reports that the issue has taken on greater urgency since December's deadly attack on a Christmas market in Berlin by a Tunisian jihadist whose asylum claim had been rejected.
