Two Kenyan election officials are expected in court this week to face various charges of altering the 8 August poll results documents. The Star reports that they were allegedly found changing the documents at a counting centre in Nairobi. Officials said 16 ballot boxes with presidential results were destroyed and materials altered. The suspects allegedly told police who were guarding the centre that they had been sent by Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission officials to get the documents for a case that has been filed in court. Director of Public Prosecutions Keriako Tobiko said he is pursuing 70 criminal cases stemming from the recently concluded polls.
