Zimbabwe’s former First Lady could be facing arrest. The country’s corruption watchdog says it’s probing several allegations against Grace Mugabe, including reports that she is in possession of a fake degree. As previously reported in Legalbrief Today, Mugabe was awarded a PhD in Sociology from the University of Zimbabwe just two months after she enrolled. At the time, her husband, Robert Mugabe, was chancellor of all state universities. A report on the eNCA site notes that Goodson Nguni, Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission chairperson, confirmed the matter was being investigated. 'We have received a complaint from University of Zimbabwe sociology department lecturers. When we (have) finished the investigation, we will do what we are supposed to do in terms of the law,' he said.
