Egypt pardons Ethiopian prisoners
Egypt has released 32 Ethiopian prisoners during a visit by the country's Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed. Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi, who met with Ahmed, pardoned the prisoners who returned to their home country yesterday. A report on the News OK site notes that the leaders had met to discuss a massive upstream Nile dam that Cairo fears will cut into its share of the river when it is completed. Ethiopia says the hydroelectric dam is essential for its economic development.
