South Africa and the Democratic Republic of the Congo have signed a visa waiver agreement for holders of diplomatic and official passport holders. A report in The Citizen notes the decision was taken at the Bi-National Commission meeting in South Africa earlier this year. Home Affairs Minister Hlengiwe Mkhize said at last week’s signing ceremony in Pretoria that the agreement shows commitment to the deepening of existing relations and a reduction of hindrance for officials travelling on the continent, according to the report.
