Lawyers for the family of a slain DRC activist have filed a complaint against Kinshasa's police chief and associates for their suspected roles in the killing. A report on the News24 site notes that activist Rossy Mukendi was shot dead in February in a rally against President Joseph Kabila in Kinshasa. ‘I have filed a complaint with the military prosecutor's office against General Sylvano Kasongo and his associates for acting as a criminal organisation in the assassination,’ said lawyer Richard Bondo. He said the complaint accused the general of the theft of the murder weapon and of allegedly ‘substituting’ the killer with another innocent police official.
