Diplomatic row over Twitter ‘tantrums’

Zimbabwean authorities have urged Kenya to help stop an ally of former President Robert Mugabe from posting provocative tweets against his successor Emmerson Mnangagwa's government. The Daily News reports that former Education Minister Jonathan Moyo has offended Mnangagwa's administration with his Twitter ‘tantrums’ in recent months. Sources said Harare feared that the outspoken Moyo would violate the Official Secrets Act by leaking information he may have obtained during his time in government. Moyo was one of former First Lady Grace Mugabe’s top supporters and he went into self-imposed exile in Kenya after the military takeover in November.
