Court undertakes awareness roadshow

The African Court on Human and Peoples' Rights will undertake a roadshow to Egypt and Tunisia this week to highlight its services for ordinary citizens. The East African reports that the Arusha-based court said the tour would help ‘raise awareness of the court's existence and also encourage more AU member states to ratify the Protocol and also make the Declaration to allow individuals and NGOs direct access to the court’. Since 2010, the court has carried out 25 ‘sensitisation visits’ around the continent.
