Kampala cosmetics dealer Fiona Namawejje, who is accused of using the Uganda National Bureau of Standards quality mark without permission, has been granted bail. She was ordered to submit her passport and property title to the court. New Vision reports that Namawejje was arrested on Thursday after police seized 1.7 tons of assorted cosmetics items including petroleum jelly, cream and soap. Buganda Road Magistrate Gladys Kamasanyu set a 19 February trial date.
