Brazil's Lula linked to Equatorial Guinea graft

Brazil's Attorney-General has opened an inquiry looking into allegations that former President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva received donations for helping a Brazilian company get business in Equatorial Guinea. Legalbrief reports that Lula is already serving a 12-year jail term. He was arrested in April and convicted on charges of money laundering and passive corruption. BBC News reports that he is now accused of receiving bribes in return for brokering deals between Equatorial Guinea and a Brazilian construction company ARG.
