Another ANC official takes crack at judges

The KwaZulu-Natal ANC provincial executive committee (PEC) says it is willing to go to great lengths to resolve internal conflicts because it does not want ANC matters to be handled by courts. In fact, provincial spokesperson and PEC member Mdumiseni Ntuli said: ‘Anyone who thinks that judges are impartial is living on their own planet. Judges have opinions, they vote like everyone else and they have a preference on who should be President. So the fate of the ANC should not be left in their hands.’ A News24 report notes he made the statement while addressing ruling party members from the Moses Mabhida Region on Friday during the Saul Msane memorial lecture. Ntuli’s comments come ahead of the PEC appeal against a KZN High Court (Pietermaritzburg) decision that found the 2016 provincial conference was unlawful.
