al-Shabaab executes four ‘spies’

Somalia's al-Shabaab extremist group has killed four men accused of spying for the CIA and the Kenyan and Somali governments. The Standard reports that the insurgents said the executions were carried out in a public square in Jamame, in Lower Jubba region, late on Sunday last week. This after its court convicted them of assisting drone attacks in Somalia which killed rebel leaders. Legalbrief reports that the deceased were identified as Siyad Ali Abdi, Ahmed Ibrahim, Yusuf Makaran and Abdullahi Omar.
